My Mom's Birthday

It was my mom's birthday today and she didn't do too much. I called her and wished her a happy birthday and sent her a message. I wish I could have been there with her but I do have responsibilities at home and it's festival season.

She'll be coming down in two weeks for Violets first communion and I'm really going to make it special when she arrives. Flowers, a card from the kids, we'll sing her happy birthday and get a cake with candles.

I've been a mediocre son and now that I have the time, I really want to make up for all the times I didn't appreciate or didn't put any effort into her special days.

Mom I love you and going forward, I'm going to put much more effort into making sure you feel loved by me and the fam.

Happy birthday and I wish for a 100 more! I miss you and can't wait to see you in a couple weeks.
