A little fire + 2 crispy hot dogs

Yesterday, the weather was nice and I had some paperwork that needed to be burned so I decided to make a fire in the backyard.

My brother had given me some leftover branches from some pruning he had done so I decided to use them up. The branches weren't dry enough so the fire was pretty smoky but the kids didn't care. They love fire more than I do and are always up to roasting hot dogs and marshmallows.

We only had 2 hot dogs and the kids felt the need to burn them to a crisp. We managed to make a few Instagram reels for my mom and then it was bedtime. It's these little special moments that make me happy. Turning an ordinary day into a special one with a little fire and a couple of hot dogs is what life is all about.
