40+ Day fast - Day 2

Day 2 was surprisingly good. The weather was crappy so I didn't end up going for a walk but managed to get 20 pushups in.
I've been making sure that I drink lots of water and take my electrolytes. The first time I fasted, I waited a week before taking electrolytes and it really messed me up at the start so I'm hoping things are a little easier this time.
I've been carrying a pack of sugar free gum with me just in case I get a really bad craving. I had to use some gum last night when I went to Costco. Their food court was just too much of a temptation so I popped a couple pieces of gum in my mouth and it took those cravings away.
I don't want to rely on gum every time I get a craving, I'm hoping to be off the gum by day 5 or 6.
I'll be heading to Peterborough tomorrow morning for a 20 hour work day. I normally I get dehydrated working this event when I'm not fasting so tomorrow will be interesting.
I'm only going to weigh myself weekly. Since this is going to be such a long fast, I don't see the point to watching my weight fluctuate daily.
I started at 279, and I expect to lose 10 - 14 pounds my first week....much of that water weight.
The key is to keep myself active and my muscles active so that I don't lose a ton of muscle during this fast.
